Day 1 (Sunday) : Mumbai

The world heritage monument of Mumbai the Chattrapati Shivaji terminus is hosting a grand welcome party to the travelers of Maharajas express. After a grand welcome the tourist get acclaimed with the royal train and its services. Train starts its journey to Udaipur on its famed Heritage of India tour. On board fine restaurants serve Indian and continental delicacies to the esteemed clientele of Maharajas express. After dinner the tourist retire to their respective cabins and suites and the train chugs along the rustic mainland of India.

Day 2 (Monday) : Udaipur

Day starts with a sumptuous breakfast and you start your day tour of the beautiful lake city of Udaipur Rajasthan.A tour of the city palace complex along with the famous crystal gallery will evoke a lot of nostalgia as you see so many exhibits of the bygone era. The tour of city palace is followed by a boat ride on the famous lakes of Udaipur. After the boat ride enjoy your lunch at an uber five star rated restaurant at Jagmandir/Fatehprakash palace/Satkar mahal. The afternoon is free for you to relax and enjoy the hospitality of Maharajas express you can also indulge in shopping spree at Udaipur or enjoy a spa activity at a five star hotel of Udaipur or you can enjoy a light and sound show in Udaipur. In the evening the Mahrajas express sets off for its next destination Jodhpur as the clients enjoy a delicious onboard dinner.

Day 3 (Tuesday) : Jodhpur

An onboard breakfast will energise you for the day ahead. Arrive at the blue desert city of Jodhpur. In the morning you can get indulged in the optional recreational activities:-

1: - A visit to the tribal ( Bishnoi) village , this community is known for their environmental friendly life style and their love for animal fraternity.

2: -You can enjoy spa facility at a five star hotel of Jodhpur.

After the lunch at an onboard restaurant we start our sight seeing tour of Jodhpur visiting the lofted fort of Mehrangarh, The grand Umaid bhawan palace and the royal cenotaph Jaswant thada. Enjoy the humdrum of city life as you visit the downtown Jodhpur Old Clock tower market. Here you can also enjoy a tuk tuk ride.

Evening is reserved for a cultural and traditional show which concludes with a grand exhibition of fire works at Royal Hanwant mahal. After the hectic day enjoy the cosy confines of Maharajas express.

Day 4 (Wednesday) : Bikaner

The train today has arrived at the Bikaner railway station. After breakfast we can choose to visit the famous rat temple of Deshnok situated an hour’s drive from Bikaner or visit Lalgarh museum and marvel at the enviable collection of artifacts of Rajasthan. After lunch we go ahead to visit the famous Junagarh fort palace of Bikaner, The fort has an amazing display of period weapons, arms, artifacts, palanquins, and so much more from the bygone era. Afterwards enjoy an evening at a sand dune ride camel and experience dexterous body movements of the Kalbeliya snake dancers and Laga dancers of Udaipur. Retreat back to the luxury of Maharajas express.

Day 5 (Thursday) : Jaipur

Wake up in Jaipur enjoy your breakfast and start exploring Jaipur with a visit to an old observatory “Jantar Mantar”, Visit famed city palace and Jai mahal indulge in activities like an elephant ride etc. Join a traditional Rajasthani lunch enjoy spa activities at a deluxe palace hotel of Jaipur. Visit Amber fort or go for a shopping extravaganza in Jaipur. After visiting Jaipur retire to the Maharajas express enjoy and onboard dinner. Overnight at the Maharajas express.

Day 6 (Friday) : Ranthambore - Fatehpur Sikri

The train chugs in at Sawaimadhopur railway station and you rise early to have a morning Jungle safari at Ranthambore national park. Enjoy the scenic jungle where the royal Indian tiger reside. After the safari return back to train and enjoy an onboard lunch. The next stop is at Fatehpur sikri the fabled capital city of the Great Mughal emperor Akbar, enjoy a visit to the lofted Buland darwaza and series of palaces crafted in red sand stone. The marble crafted mausoleum of Sheikh Salim Chisti is amazing . return back to the train and enjoy the delicious dinner served onboard. Overnight in the train.

Day 7 (Saturday) : Agra - Delhi (Disembark)

Today early morning enjoy the rise of the sun at the Tajmahal. Tajmahal is most famous and the most visited monument of India. Enjoy a lavish breakfast at a mound near the Tajmahal, this is the same location where once Mr Bill Clinton the then president of USA addressed the world environmental summit while he was on a state tour of India. Return back to the train as it resumes journey to Delhi while you enjoy your lunch. The Maharajas express finally reaches its destination Delhiand the Heritage of India tour ends.
