Location of Miramar Beach: - The state capital of Goa Panaji has a beach right in the vicinity this is the beach overlooking the Mandovi River on one side and the great Arabian sea on the other. From the international airport Dabolim a ride to Panaji will take around 30 minutes (26 kms). The taxis are easily available. The capital is very well connected by public conveyance to the other cities of Goa.

Features of Miramar Beach: - Being in the capital takes its tell, the Miramar beach is the most crowded beach of Goa it’s not very clean either though now the sand appears much cleaner than what it was some years back. Swimming at this beach is strictly prohibited. If you are in Panji and want to serenely enjoy the evening the Miramar is a beach for you. The tide at Miramar is rough and lots of crowds get together at the Miramar so the authorities don’t allow the tourist to get in to the sea for the safety of the tourist.
The scene at the Miramar has completely changed earlier there were multiple local shanties selling food stuff and other items now not even one is visible and the beach is open and wide some small hawkers do sneak in but the situation has changed completely.

Water sports activities at Miramar Beach: - No water sports activities are allowed at the Miramar beach so be prepared for the same.

Shacks at Miramar Beach: - There are no shacks at the Miramar beach nor are the beach beds nor are recliners, drinking of alcohol is strictly prohibited at the Miramar beach so in a nut shell the Miramar is very different from other Goan beaches.
