Location of Colva Beach: - The colva is a peaceful little beach in the southern part of Goa its around 27 kms from the capital city Panaji, The Goa international airport is around 23 kms. You can choose your conveyance to reach this beach as public conveyance is also easily available, the buses from Margao bus stand are available all the time and they reach straight to the colva beach. The cars are on easy choice and easily you can hire a taxi or a self driven car from Panji. From international airport you can hire the taxi easily.

Speciality of Colva Beach: - This beach of south Goa is very different from the north Goa beaches, the sand is white/ silver in colour quite different from the Golden sand of the north Goan beaches, The colva is a straight line beach of around 2.5 kms in length. The stretch of sand is quite wide even in the high tide time, The sea is quite vibrant at the colva beach apt for surf boarding and enjoying the adventure activities. The sea water also appears clear and pristine. The beach has a large parking area and the bus to margao is always ready from the parking lot.
Very near to the parking lot is a nice children’s park with many joy rides for the visiting children. There is a small shopping arcade where small kiosks selling garments, eye shades, hats etc will entice you, there are wine stores restaurants and coffee shops too in the shopping centre.
The sands are very neat and clean at the colva beach, in the day time the crowds are also not very large but the crowds swell up as the day draws near. The colva beach area has a very profound Portuguese cultural impact.

Activity at Colva Beach: - Colva is very well suited for water sports the waves are best for the surf board activity and the jet ski, the rates of the adventure activities are also not very high. The prevalent rates at colva beach for water sports are-

Shacks at Colva Beach: - As you alight the small hill bridge leading you to the beach from the parking on your right side are the beach shacks, they are not numerous but just six in number they provide you Goan food, beverages, sea food right at the beach, All these beach shacks have beach beds and recliners in front and if you are their customers just enjoy the service free of cost. You can enjoy a beer reclining at a beach bed at any of these shacks. All these shacks have typical Goan names.
