Location of Cabo De Rama Fort: - Location- This small fort is located in the southern part of the Goa state. The state capital Panjim is around 2 hours drive while the Dabolim international airport will take one hour 30 minutes to reach from Cabo De Rama fort. This fort is nestled in between the famous beaches of Cavelossim and Agonda. Cavelossin is around 20 kms from Cabo De Rama while Agonda is around 17 kms. The best way to reach Cabo De Rama is by your rental car/ Taxi or your two wheeler. It’s a secluded place and reaching here without a dedicated transport may be difficult.

The fort is at an extreme end of Cola village, situated on a promenade is the Cabo De Rama fort. This fort was domain of the Sunda kings, In 1763 the Portuguese captured the fort and it was an important army citadel for them. The king of Mysore Hyder Ali was in confrontation with the Portuguese till 1799 when he was defeated. Later the fort was converted in to a prison and was used as a prison till 1955. The end of the promenade overlooking the Arabian sea offers picturesque location where you can sure click instagram worthy pictures. You can also scale down the cliff and enjoy a pebble beach, though small but nevertheless beautiful. This fort had a battery of 21 canons one of them still is lying at the entrance. The fort walls can be seen at some places. There is a working chapel dedicated to Saint Anthony inside the fort. The remains of army barracks intrigue the visitors.
