This tour starts at Haridwar a town of Utarakhand, this is the place where river Ganges flows down the mighty Himalayas into the vast Indian plains. From Haridwar we start early and drive 200 kms to reach the city of Utarakashi in the Himalayan state of Utarakhand, it will take around 6-7 hours to reach Utarakashi. Upon reaching Utarakashi check in at your respective hotel later visit famous Vishwanath temple. Overnight at Utarakashi.
Day 2:- Utarkashi - Gangotri - UtarkashiEarly morning set out to Gangotri. The Himalayas have many hot water geysers. The Garamkund enroute Gangotri is also a natural hot water spring you can take a rejuvenating sacred dip here, this dip will heal the ailing body and the soul. The beautiful Harsil valley famous for its apple orchards and green meadows falls on our way to Gangotri. At Gangotri take a dip in the freezing cold waters of river Ganges. Engage in the holy sacraments at the temple, this temple is a 18 th century structure and is situated on the banks of river Ganges known as Bhagirathi. Drive back to Utarakashi which is a drive of around 4 hours from Gangotri. Overnight at Utarakashi.
Utarkashi - HaridwarToday after breakfast we start our return journey to Haridwar enroute exploring the temple city of Rishikesh famous for its temples and the Laxman Jhoola bridge. Attend the evening arti on the banks of river Ganges at Rishikesh. Drive back to Haridwar.
