Char Dham literarly signifies four major religious destinations Char is a word in Hindi meanng 4 and Dham is a religion site. Char Dham is a religious tourism circuit comprising of 4 destinations - Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri in uttrakhand state if India. Since time immemorial the Hindu piligrimes are visiting these famous temples. Since few decades back owing to the proper infrastructural development Char Dham Yatra is in vogue. These 4 Dham temples open by the end of April or the begining of May and are closed with the starts of winters in October Month. Char Dham Yatra starts with Yamunotri temple located in a narrow gorge close to the river Yamuna rigin. Later it goes to Ganotri in Uttrakhand Distirct. Later piligrims reach Badrinath temple and finally ends in Kedarnath. Char Dhamyatra can be done by road or by the Helicopter
